Catch up
It’s amazing what you can accomplish when you don’t have a knitting deadline and you can work on other projects and clean. I’m not the best housekeeper in the world, but during the knitting of the test knit I just completed (YAY!), my craft room looked like several tornadoes hit it. I finally [...]

A little bit of this, a little bit of that
What should I start with today? Lets start with the oldest finished project, another wrap skirt.
This one I tweaked a little. I placed the piping 5/8″ from the edge, instead of 3″, which gave me more of a “wrap” and more coverage when the wind blows. I also omitted the pockets, which [...]

Quilting, gardening, test knitting oh my!
Quilting first. I spent my weekend indoors, hacking up a couple lungs. When I wasn’t sleeping, and the hacking was at a minimum, I did a little knitting, and a little sewing. I finished up the quilt top!
I have the rest of the materials to finish the quilt, but with a big [...]

A little bloggy contest
I missed a big occasion back in April. The blog turned FIVE! I can not believe I’ve been blogging for over 5 years.
The blog has given me so many things. The one thing I never thought would come out of blogging, was gaining all these friends. I not only made friends [...]

What I’ve been doing….
1. Chicken Tikka Masals, 2. Red Velvet Truffle, 3. Cherries from the garden, 4. Garlic from the garden, 5. Carrots/beans from the garden, 6. Raspberries, 7. Apples, 8. Made from scratch bagels
You might think I’ve done nothing but garden/cook, but I have been slowly working my way toward the end of the Anniversary Mystery Shawl. [...]

A bulletted post
- Pictures of the cupcakes and the brownie “cupcakes” from 2 weeks ago. The brownies spell out “ABYBAY”, our very affectionate term for the baby. Cupcakes are from here, and the brownies are just my brownies, in cupcake form. I cut out letters out of a piece of cardboard, placed on top [...]

Of shawls, gardening, and walking
I’m sitting here trying to think of what I’ve done in the past week since the last blog post, and I honestly can’t think of what I’ve done. Either it was really boring, or it was so packed with stuff that it kept me too busy to remember. Either way, I have pictures [...]

Mondays are for blogging
I don’t know what happened to my blogging mojo. I used to blog more than once a week. Maybe it’s the lack of things to talk about, or the lack of knitting photos that I can actually share. Dunno. I’m going to have to make an extreme effort to do this [...]

Just another Manic Monday
Wish it was Sunday. Seriously. Weekends have been fairly relaxing the last couple of weeks that I wish that they could be longer than 2 days.
This weekend, we headed out to Long Island to attend a 7 year old’s Yankee themed birthday party. Love my friend, love her kids, HATE the traffic. [...]

Here a stitch, there a stitch
It’s been a week of non-stop knitting. I have made tremendous progress on the Knit Picks project, which is currently in pieces, blocking on the craft room floor. I also finished the Deep V Argyle. No modelling shots, because I’m still in jammies. Next time though.
Also finished is the sock that [...]
