Catch up
It’s amazing what you can accomplish when you don’t have a knitting deadline and you can work on other projects and clean. I’m not the best housekeeper in the world, but during the knitting of the test knit I just completed (YAY!), my craft room looked like several tornadoes hit it. I finally [...]

Here a stitch, there a stitch
It’s been a week of non-stop knitting. I have made tremendous progress on the Knit Picks project, which is currently in pieces, blocking on the craft room floor. I also finished the Deep V Argyle. No modelling shots, because I’m still in jammies. Next time though.
Also finished is the sock that [...]

Where I’ve been (a long post, pic heavy)
Good gravy, I’ve been MIA for 2 weeks! I wish I could say there’s been lots of knitting, but I’d be lying. I did finish a pair of socks for my friend Fonzie (not her real name, but that’s what I call her), but I don’t have pictures. They were finished last [...]

Of knitting, pumpkins and cupcakes
Rhinebeck weekend I started a pair of socks for the kid, who picked out his own sock yarn on WWKIP day. Dream in Color Smooshy in Cocoa Kisses. I finished them today.
I made the socks a smidge too big for him, because the way his feet are growing, he’d have outgrown them before [...]

Rainy Sunday
What’s a girl to do when it’s pouring out? Craft of course! I finished up and blocked the secret project. I started and am halfway thru sock number 2 of the Brooks Farm socks. Don’t ask about the mystery shawl, as that’s still in a corner having a time out. [...]

Weekends are for flying spaceships
Hope everyone had a nice quiet weekend. I had a fairly productive one. Finished up socks that shouldn’t have taken me as long as they did.
Finished up the lace curtains, had hubby drill holes to put up the curtain rods and installed them right away.
Went to KIP day with Bezzie and Chris in [...]

A sock!
What’s that? A sock? That *I* knit? No way.
My favorite part? The gusset decreases….
While running errands yesterday (Home Depot and Lowes, AGAIN), we took a few minutes to wander around Red Bank, where lo and behold there is a yarn store. Ok, so it was [...]

Another “not mine” post
My family did the trek to NJ to the house this weekend. We had a small celebration for my brother’s birthday. My mom presented me with a big rubbermaid tub. Looks like your ordinary rubbermaid tub, yes?
Inside? A treasure trove of fabric scraps.
There’s a good deal of fat quarters, pieces left [...]
