Home stretch
I’m so close to the end of this shawl, I can taste it. 2 of the 3 borders are done.
The joining of the point is done and bound off.
The last border has been picked up and started. Luckily, even though it’s over 200 stitches, it’s only 2 rows of pattern, and should be [...]

Yum
We’re heading out to LI today to have Thanksgiving with friends. I was asked to make pie. My first attempt at pumpkin pie with a homemade crust:
My first attempt at apple pie, ever. Homemade crust as well.
Since I was already in the kitchen, I made a key lime pie to take as [...]

Got my mind set on…
When I set my mind to it, I can do just about anything. Give me a sick day and a weekend of doing nothing, and I emerge with the body of the dragone shawl complete. It’s measuring just about 50″ across.
Now to start the border…..

On socks and shawls
Go With the Flow socks have been done about a week. I haven’t worn them yet, but I do like them alot. I think I’m hesitant to wear them because when I washed them to block them, there was a LOT of dye in the water. A lot. I would really [...]

Yarn, that is. I’ve ordered this colorway before, but the first time I used the roving, I was using a spindle. I suck at the spindle. But I had enough for a hat….
This time around, I had 8 oz of roving, and when I sat down to spin, I didn’t have a [...]

What did I do for my big day? Well, I went to see Bon Jovi again. I had the complete opposite of the seats from last time. My view from my seats…
I also ate here for dinner. I had the Peanut butter cup. Yum.

Weekend craftiness
I spent the weekend on my couch, knee deep in fiber. First, I dug out some roving that I bought from my friend Sarah. It’s corriedale in “Lusty Lady”.
I have 8 oz. and I spun up 4 of it, all onto one bobbin. My singles are measuring about 40wpi.
Then I picked up [...]

A fish tale
About a month ago, my mom asked for my help in finding a pattern. She gave me almost no information to work with, so I went to the all knowing Knittyboard and asked for help. The pattern in question was by an Aussie, and in a mag sometime in the late 80’s. [...]
