Sleeves and Samoas
Tangled Yoke update….I’ve started on sleeve number one:
I was going to do both sleeves at once, but then I remembered that I did the Tahoe sleeves at the same time and I wanted to shoot myself. The pattern says to do the sleeves on DPNs, and I think that would drive me nuts as [...]

S-A-T-U-R-D-A-Y night
As I get ready to do my normal Sautrday night routine (get kid ready for bed, kid bedtime at 8, settle into couch with knitting, a movie and the hubby), I thought I’d share what I did during the day itself. I know I could do things like, oh, clean the house, but I [...]

A whole mess of crafty
First, there’s been knitting. A finished Juno Regina:
Stats:
Pattern: Juno Regina, Knitty Fall 2007
Yarn: Malabrigo Lace, approx. 1 1/2 skeins

I made no changes, but my finished size is 3″ smaller width wise, and about 5″ longer.
Next, there was spinning. When I went up to Rhinebeck, I brought Lulu with [...]

2.25 vs 2.50
My public service announcement for the day:
When knitting socks, and making notes on them, make note of the size you are. 2.25 and 2.50 are very different. If you don’t make note, or if you make note of the wrong size (ask me how I know), you end up with 2 different size [...]

Bad kid
We celebrated Xmas with my family before we left for FL, and I’m a bad kid for not showing off my mom’s gift to me sooner than this. Mom made me a dpn holder! Ain’t it pretty?
She even included those KP harmony dpns. I love it and I’m sorry that I’m showing [...]

WIP Wed.
Before I left for Florida, I started Juno Regina. I completed the lace work on the starting end and was on the “straight” rows. The straight rows are supposed to go for 42″. I am STILL on the straight rows.
This picture shows the straight section at about 26″. I’m almost at [...]

Hummus, take 2
Last week, when we opened our new cookbook to make something, we found a recipe for hummus. It came out good, even if it was a little…..green.
I think that instead of the white parts of the green onion the recipe calls for, I threw in too much of the green part. This time [...]

In need of a little…
Spring. It’s SO cold, so I spun up the rest of some merino/tencel I’ve been working on in the “spring” colorway.
Deets:
4 oz, Merino/Tencel in Spring from The Sheep Shed @ Mountain View Farm
Approx. 730 yards and 27 WPI
Is it spring yet?
